Senior Statistical Analyst

The Ipsos Customer Experience Research team is looking for a Sr. Statistical Analyst to join the team. The Sr. Statistical Analyst will be responsible for statistical analysis and interpretation of research and other client data. This includes investigating and implementing new statistical methods, data modeling, enhancing and improving customer research, data mining, segmentation and sampling. Provide proactive analyses of continuing studies or proactive market analyses.

Essential Job Functions include:

  • Recommend the best analytics and research methodology solution
  • Consult on sampling strategy and weighting methods
  • Contributes to proposal development
  • Excellent understanding of sample implications relating to various statistical analysis techniques
  • Provides guidance to the research team on questionnaire design, taking into consideration the objectives of the project and the analysis required.
  • Apply standard practices in terms of statistical modeling as well as looking for new methods of modeling
  • Ability to translate complex research results into a cohesive and meaningful story for clients
  • Use statistical tools such as significance testing, CHAID analysis, scatterplots, correlation, cross-tabulation, etc. to describe and analyze data
  • Use research data to produce customer segmentation through appropriate tools such as factor analysis, correspondence analysis, clustering, etc.
  • Data mining of client or research data to produce strategic / tactical models for clients to use
  • Use regression and other techniques to develop predictive models
  • Independently implements and flawlessly executes multiple analytical requests simultaneously, including thoroughly owning all aspects of analytical execution as assigned by the manager
  • Proactively considers how data/analytical processing can be made more efficient and improved

Competencies and Experiences:

  • Master s Degree and Min 1-2 years' experience in statistical analysis, including the areas of multivariate data analysis, sampling, segmentation, data mining and modeling
  • Experience in quantitative market research is preferable, especially strong skills relating to Customer Satisfaction, Loyalty, Quality, Branding Research as well as Product Design and Development
  • Proficient in SAS/SPSS/R
  • Experience in Conjoint Analysis will be an advantage
  • Strong research methodology knowledge
  • Interpersonal skills and report writing skills
  • Effective time and project management
  • Communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure
