Previous receptionist experience is desired but not mandatory, as full training will be provided to an exceptional candidate.
Duties as a receptionist include:
Greeting and checking in patients upon their arrival in a very polite and professional manner Collecting and entering patient insurance and demographic information into EHR, and guiding them to complete any outstanding pre-visit paperwork Provide excellent customer service by responding to patient requests with kindness and compassion Keep patients informed of wait times due to provider schedule delays Keep patient appointments on schedule by calling patients when they are late to appointments.
Interfacing with the electronic health record (EHR) Preparing patient charts Maintaining a clean and organized waiting and reception area.
Complete other clerical duties as assigned Required Knowledge and Skill Strong interpersonal and hospitality skills, and knowledge of professional phone etiquette are essential Superior verbal and written communication Comfortable interacting with patients Comfortable with computers and learning new programs and exam testing equipment Superior level of organizational and documentation skills Multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities Comfortable with frequent interruptions Comfortable with noisy/busy environment at times Listening skills, patience, kindness, and compassion High level of attention to detail This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
