Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and exceeding customer expectations, overseeing the scheduling of engineers, coordinating equipment procurement, maintaining a fleet of vehicles, and handling customer inquiries.
You will have a team of 3-4 direct reports and 12 technical people under a different department helping you achieve operational goals and responsibilities.
Responsibilities Customer Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Proactively communicate with customers to manage expectations, address concerns, and provide updates on services Team Coordination:
Schedule and coordinate a team of engineers, project coordinators, and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery of services.
Monitor work progress, provide guidance, and optimize resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
Equipment Procurement:
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
Maintain inventory levels and track equipment availability.
Fleet Management:
Oversee the maintenance and utilization of a fleet of vehicles to support field operations.
Implement cost-effective strategies for vehicle upkeep and replacements as needed.
Customer Call Management:
Handle customer calls and inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
Escalate issues to the appropriate teams and ensure swift resolution.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Continuously evaluate and refine operational procedures to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the telecommunications or IT industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Familiarity with telecommunications and IT equipment and services.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRMs and other relevant business tools.
