Summary:
The Communications Manager plays a key role in developing communication strategies and messaging for team members and leaders at Edward Rose & Sons.
The Communications Manager partners with various teams to understand the subjects to communicate, develop a communication proposal and draft communications for review and distribution.
The Communications Manager is continuously seeking out new material team members may benefit from learning about.
This role also includes the oversight of electronic communication solutions for team members, such as intranet, chat bot and other solutions as the company evolves.
Key Job
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the CHRO and HR Project Manager, develop and deliver an internal communications strategy that reflects the Company's strategic direction, employee engagement and brand.
Plan, coordinate and execute internal campaigns for project rollouts, new policies or procedures, and other Company news.
Manage the Company's internal Intranet site built on the SharePoint platform, keeping content current and relevant.
Seek out stories of customer service, project success, community engagement, and other noteworthy events for intranet site or other communications.
Draft, review, and edit messages to ensure they are clear, thorough, on-brand and preserve the Company's image.
Develop message content and select the appropriate channel of communication that reflects the information being communicated and the audience being targeted.
Develop flyers, presentations, or other visual communication aids.
Write monthly CEO video scripts and partner with technology team to produce videos.
Support annual open enrollment communication and wellness messaging throughout the year.
Lead bi-annual employee engagement survey communication campaign.
Measure and track the success of specific communications, tailoring future communications to improve effectiveness or increase reach.
Measure and track employee understanding and retention of information, summarizing surveys.
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of communications-related tools or infrastructures as needed.
Identify communication needs through conversation with team members and leaders and develop plans to incorporate information in the communication plan for the year.
Research new developments in communication, incorporating them in internal communications as appropriate.
Desired Qualifications and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Human Resources, or relevant equivalent is preferred.
5 or more years' experience in a communications role preferred.
Previous experience developing and managing a SharePoint site is preferred.
Previous experience writing internal communications is preferred.
Previous experience producing videos and using video editing software is preferred.
Previous experience with Canva or other design tools is preferred.
Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing is required.
Must possess strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Must present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances such as last-minute deadlines or other difficult situations.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Must possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and be willing to travel to various locations via private or public air transportation.
Regular attendance, work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position.
